(Jamma) The meeting between the heads of the State Monopolies and the trade associations Acadi, Astro, Acmi and Sapar to discuss the technical aspects of the Newslot3, the latest generation devices that will install barcode readers for avoid underage gambling and special card protection systems to prevent fraud and tax evasion. For the Monopolies, the manager of the Equipment Office, Davide Diamare, was present; Sogei delegates also attended the meeting. During today's meeting only technical issues were addressed, in particular the architecture of the machines. A few references also to the player's card - a card with a barcode that must be inserted into the machine to prove the player's age - according to current guidelines, new machines will have to fit the reader right away, but the card could only be needed at a later stage. The meetings will take place at a rapid pace over the next few weeks: on 17 July the representatives of the slot concessionaires will be heard, the following week the delegates of the certifying bodies. Between the end of July and the beginning of August Acadi, Astro, Acmi and Sapar will be listened to again.
