The Monopolies office for Campania, based in Naples, has conducted an effective action against illegal gaming in the Vomero area of the Neapolitan city in recent days. The activity, carried out in collaboration with the Carabinieri of the Labor Inspectorate Unit, led to the emergence of illegal work phenomena and the closure of two businesses, without any authorization. In the premises subjected to control, the collection of illicit gaming took place through thirteen devices, not connected to the electronic network and without authorization titles.
For the devices and the sums found there, over seven thousand euros, the criminal and administrative seizure was triggered while, immediately, the officials also increased the related administrative fines which amounted, to a reduced extent, to 130 thousand euros .
Brokerage on personal gaming accounts has also been verified, in the absence of a license pursuant to art. 88 TULPS with notification of the violation pursuant to art. 4 law n. 401/89; the owner and the staff present at the time of the inspection were referred to the judicial authority for collecting bets without authorisation.
