The men of the Fiamme Gialle of the Metaponto Brigade, coordinated by the Compagnia di Matera, at the end of an articulated investigation and tax assessment activity, proceeded to seize theslot machines irregular, as they do not have the authorizations and do not have the expected connection "Online” to the telematic control network managed by the Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies, thus not allowing the Treasury to verify the regularity of the bets.

The investigative activity, conducted in a transversal way, also concerned the huge profits made over time and subtracted from taxation by various joint-stock companies attributable to a single entity and, above all, the protection of citizens exposed to risks related to gambling .

The activity of each gaming machine is thus continuously monitored, as the flow of information on bets and winnings is continuous.

The expedient used to defraud both the Treasury and the users of entertainment and amusement devices consists in cloning the electronic cards of the slot machines and fictitiously connecting the "clones" to the network so that the data sent to the State Monopolies is not refer to the machine in use, thus bypassing "PR.EU" checks and taxation (single tax levy envisaged for this type of activity).
