Failure to display the prohibited games table, computer fraud and irregular slots: fines of 30 thousand euros to the owners of a betting center and a club in Melito di Porto Salvo (RC)

The Carabinieri of the Melito Porto Salvo station (RC), as part of a vast service coordinated with the staff of the Customs and Monopolies Agency of Reggio Calabria aimed at preventing and combating irregular gambling, checked a betting center and a recreational club during which they reported the respective owners to the Judicial Authority for failure to display the "prohibited games" tables and for the crime of computer fraud, since the presence of some personal computers without of authorization which, connected to the network, effectively allowed gaming on online platforms as well as a slot machine not connected to the state network managed by the Customs and Monopolies Agency. The gaming and IT equipment were seized while administrative fines for a total amount of 30 thousand euros were imposed on those referred.
