Lottomatica presented the Court of Auditors with an application for the facilitated definition of the judgment on the "new slot" case

(Jamma) GTECH SpA announces that the subsidiary Lottomatica Videolot Rete filed a request for the so-called "facilitated definition" of the judgment before the Court of Auditors, referred to in the previous press releases issued on 28 June 2007; July 26, 2007; January 9, 2008; April 1, 2008; May 29, 2008; 20 February 2012. It is recalled that in the first instance the Court had quantified the liability of Lottomatic Videolot Rete, by way of tax damages for the failure to comply with certain service levels, in 100 million euros and that the latter had filed an appeal, the hearing for which has not yet been set, deeming this sentence completely unfounded .

The Court of Auditors has the right to refuse the request – in which case the appeal process will continue – or to accept it by determining the amount of the payment, which cannot exceed 30% of the amount of the first instance sentence.

It is underlined that the presentation of the application does not in any way amount to an admission of guilt, but has the sole purpose of settling a dispute of significant economic value, thus allowing a situation of prolonged uncertainty to be overcome.
