A total of 18 gaming machines were seized, including "video poker", "slot machines" and "totems", with 3 responsible persons reported to the competent authorities. This is the outcome of a series of checks conducted in recent days by the Fiamme Gialle of the Taranto Group to combat illegal and irregular gaming.

In detail, during the economic control activity of the territory, which involved recreational clubs, game rooms and bars located in Taranto and in the Municipality of Pulsano, the Financiers identified and seized 7 "video poker machines", 2 gaming machines , the so-called "totems" (which allow players to connect to the internet and bet on illegal gaming platforms) and 9 "slot machines" not connected to the IT network of the Customs and Monopolies Agency.

The sum of 600 euros in cash was also seized, as proceeds from gambling. The Guardia di Finanza also ascertained the illegal connection to the electricity grid at the games room in Taranto. At the end of the operations carried out, the Fiamme Gialle of Taranto reported 3 subjects to the competent authorities.

Further investigations of a fiscal nature are being carried out aimed at ascertaining, on the part of the owners of the clubs and commercial establishments inspected, the regular payment to the Financial Administration of the so-called "Single Tax Levy", a tax commensurate with the sums "played" and recorded on the machine counters.

In the public gaming sector, the Guardia di Finanza protects players from illegal, unsafe and without any guarantees, safeguarding the weakest groups, first of all minors.
