The Administrative Police Division of the Police Headquarters, together with the Customs and Monopolies Agency-Territorial Operational Section of Catanzaro, carried out a series of checks against illegal gaming in the municipality of Rocca di Neto.

Following careful checks of two commercial activities, three personal computers not meeting the characteristics required by current legislation on legal gaming were subjected to administrative seizure, and three electronic entertainment devices without authorization, not connected to the network of State monopolies, with obvious tampering with the game cards, seals and anti-tumbers detected inside.

The aforementioned tampering allowed the card duly authorized by ADM to be bypassed, thus allowing the data not to be forwarded to the Agency's electronic system, and also presented clear connections with suitable cables for the purpose of evading taxes with cash winnings not registered and accounted for .

At the end of the operations, the interested parties were handed over in a state of freedom, together with each other, to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Crotone, for the crime of computer fraud.

The offices in question, in addition to the criminal seizure of the electronic devices and the money found inside them, having a total value of 1388 euros, will provide for the recovery of the evaded tax and the raising of the administrative sanctions established in euros from 5000 to 50000 for each tampered device, in addition to the closure of the business for thirty to sixty days as an additional sanction.
