Catania, Police seize 3 electronic devices and 5 illegal slots in two bars: fines of 85 thousand euros

As part of specific administrative checks, prepared by the Police Commissioner of Catania at the city's public establishments in order to verify exact compliance with the sector regulations, the Administrative Team of the PASI Division of the Catania Police Headquarters, on the evening of last February 16th, following an administrative check carried out at a kiosk-bar with an adjoining betting agency located in the San Cristoforo district, it placed under administrative seizure 3 telematic devices (computers complete with monitors) which were suitable for allowing the operation of the slot machine game in absence of control by the ADM (Customs and Monopolies Agency), raising administrative offense reports to the owner for a total of 30.000 euros. On the following evening of 18 February, the same personnel of the Administrative Team of the Catania Police Headquarters, following another check carried out at a bar in the same district of San Cristoforo, placed under administrative seizure 5 electronic gaming machines of the slot machine type without clearance from the ADM, issuing the holder with administrative offense reports for a total of 55.000 euros.
