(Jamma) «Incentive for public places that do not favor the use of slot machines». The councilor Francesco Tarricone proposes it, who had already dealt with the problem in his time. «It is increasingly frequent to come across public places that offer the possibility of playing slot machines, or rather slot machines. It has been ascertained from recent statistics that at least 30% of the population is interested in this kind of game and that there is a high risk that, in 10% of cases, the subject who plays assiduously will become affected by pathological gambling syndrome while a good 18 % are believed to be affected by problem gambling syndrome, with pathological repercussions not only for the player but for the whole family nucleus which sees its family and economic solidity dissolve. The administration has fiscal power on the matter.' Hence the request to the mayor to "incentivise all commercial establishments that were willing to eliminate slot machines from their premises through the reduction of no less than 30% of the waste tax and the reduction of the Cosap payment in total".
