The Fiamme Gialle of the Provincial Command of Vicenza continue the campaign of controls on the provincial territory to combat, in a transversal manner, the phenomena of economic-financial illegality.

In this context, in recent days, the soldiers of the Arzignano Company have conducted dozens of interventions to verify the regional and municipal provisions regarding shutdown, in the "protected" time slots (identified, by the regional law, from 07:00 to 09:00; from 13:00 to 15:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00), entertainment machines (so-called slot machines).

In detail, specific controls were carried out at a slot hall located in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) and in three accommodation businesses located, respectively, in the aforementioned Municipality as well as in Chiampo (VI) and Valdagno (VI), which allowed detect the presence of a total of 50 entertainment devices turned on in the full "protected" time slot. Overall, the violators were charged with administrative violations ranging from a minimum of €25.000,00 to a maximum of €75.000,00 for having kept the aforementioned devices active at unauthorized times.

Furthermore, as part of targeted interventions to combat drug dealing in the crucial points of urban areas, the Arzignano financiers seized, in Arzignano (VI) and Montecchio Maggiore (VI), dozens of doses of hashish-type narcotics . In particular, two young people were reported to the Prefect of the province of Vicenza for the adoption of the relevant administrative measures related to the possession of narcotic substances for personal use.

The aim of the operational activity is to combat all illicit manifestations capable of disturbing the free conduct of healthy business activities and, at the same time, to guarantee safety for citizens.

The checks will continue throughout the province in the coming weeks.
