In recent days the Carabinieri set up a service aimed at controlling some private clubs located in various municipalities thanks to the help of the staff of the Customs and Monopolies Agency of Bari.

Following this inspection activity at a private club in San Ferdinando di Puglia, the military accused the president of the violation of the art. 27 paragraph 7 of Legislative Decree 4/2019 as there was the presence of n. 7 personal computers intended for any form of gaming installed, made available in a public place or in a place open to the public not meeting the characteristics referred to in paragraphs 6 and 7 (contrasting the phenomena of pathological gambling disorder), thus bringing an administrative fine of 70.000 euros and the seizure of the PCs.

Several commercial activities were still sanctioned for the violation of the art. 4 of the Puglia Regional Law n. 22/2007 due to the lack of HACCP training certificates for employees and violation of the art. 1 of Ministerial Decree 564/1992 due to the lack of surveillance requirements of the premises.

Controls by the military will continue in the coming days to stem the problem of the spread of gambling in private clubs and commercial activities.
