The new facility was launched through a partnership with Edgemony
The new Sisal IT Hub was inaugurated in Palermo and is part of the strategy of investments, skills and digital talents that the company is carrying out both in Italy and abroad to further increase the use of new technologies within the company to support the long-term growth plan.
Sisal's arrival in Sicily is the result of a corporate approach that aims to invest in an innovation model spread across the entire Italian territory; in particular, for the opening of the Palermo hub, a partnership has been launched with Edgemony, a leading company in the training of specialists in the digital field, which will select the hub's staff both by drawing on its own training bootcamps and through a targeted search for new digital talents. Job offers, mainly focused on devops and software development, are constantly promoted and conveyed on the Edgemony website and on its social channels.
The first people of the new Sisal Hub are already hired at the Edgemony headquarters in Villa Riso, with the aim of expanding in terms of new hires in the near future. Thus continues the strategy of Sisal which - as well as in the main offices of Milan and Rome - has invested, in recent years, throughout the national territory. In Italy, in addition to the Innovation Lab in Turin, the competence center where innovation projects are developed, the company has already opened a hub in Naples and is committed to investing more and more in widespread hubs, in continuity with the investments made in recent years also abroad, where Sisal is present with 3 digital hubs in Turkey, Albania and Tunisia. All this also happens thanks to the collaboration with local universities such as the University of Palermo, with which an internship activation agreement is already active.
With the new center of excellence in Sicily, Sisal reiterates its desire to invest in digital and technological skills.
