By delegation of the District Attorney, the soldiers of the Provincial Command of the Financial Police of Naples have carried out an order for the application of the precautionary measure in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples - District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against seven people, considered seriously suspected, in various capacities, of the crimes of criminal association as well as fraudulent transfer of values, self-laundering and extortion, aggravated by the mafia method and the aim of facilitating the Camorra association called the D'Alessandro clan.
In particular, the investigations revealed an activity of systematic illicit collection of bets and the acquisition of illicit proceeds also through internet points and betting agencies (of which 6 were seized).
The measure carried out is a precautionary measure, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted, and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and therefore presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
